What we call “the world” is also an ongoing story, the great, unending drama being retold again and again. Genuine stories help us to restore ourselves and re-story the world around us.
- Michael Meade, Mosaic Multicultural Foundation

Katie Miles is very excited to join the language arts team at Centennial next year. Katie has been teaching 7th and 8th grade LA at Horizons K-8 for the last six years, and is eager to contribute her experience in making learning accessible and challenging to a wide range of students. As a committed teammate, Katie is thrilled to collaborate in Centennial's innovative community and work to ensure that all students are valued, challenged, and empowered to engage in the world around them.

Katie studied English literature at the University of Kansas and CU Boulder, where she got her BA and her teaching credentials. Katie's passion for designing curriculum that makes learning relevant and applicable to the real world drove Katie to return to CU to earn a master's degree in curriculum and instruction. A lifelong learner at heart, she is always ready to explore new ideas and loves staying up to date on current research in educational practices.
