Kevin Mazza McEvoy grew up and did all of his schooling in Boulder. He majored in French, with a minor in Italian, at CU, and has also earned his teaching certificate in French and his master’s degree in Linguistically Diverse Education from the same institution. When not residing in Boulder, Kevin loves to travel, live and work abroad. He got his start teaching French and English in Cuiaba, Brazil, and has spent extensive time in France, Mexico and Italy.

Most recently, Mr. Mazza lived in Sofia, Bulgaria teaching 8th-grade ESL while his wife earned her master’s degree in Energy Systems in Thessaloniki, Greece. Kevin’s post as Spanish teacher is a perfect match with his number-one hobby: language learning. He takes any opportunity to geek out on etymology or to try to learn a new tongue. Mr. Mazza loves his time in the middle-school classroom, and once he has had his daily (over)dose of caffeine, he truly relishes sharing his passion for languages with the students at Centennial.

Outside of the classroom, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, eating, playing and listening to music, and eating some more.
