During her childhood in Nebraska, Mo’s family often traveled to Colorado and she always wanted to stay in the mountains rather than return home. After earning her undergraduate degree from Colorado College, she taught for Outward Bound as a mountaineering and rock climbing instructor with adolescents in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. She traveled during her “off seasons” and visited several different mountain ranges and countries. Eventually, she returned to Colorado for graduate school where she earned a Masters in Education from University of Denver and started her classroom teaching career. On weekends, you can find Mo learning how to fly fish with her husband and two daughters.
