Mr. Adams Graduated from Frostburg State university in Western Maryland in 1992 with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and Health. He worked as the intramural director for Fort Detrick before starting his teaching career at Linganore High School in Frederick Maryland. He coached Cross Country and track for the Lancers winning several state titles. He then took a new coaching position at Urbana High school Leading them to the state title in 1999 and 2000. In 2001 he took a position at Centennial Middle school and relocated to Boulder Colorado. He has happily worked at CMS ever since and enjoys great success working with middle school P.E and athletics. Currently he coaches wrestling, track, and cross country, but has also worked coaching football, soccer and basketball.
Mr. Adams is a longtime endurance athlete running 18 marathons in his competitive prime with a personal record of 2:30, most notably running a 2:32 in the Boston Marathon in 1998. After moving to Boulder he switched focus to triathlons and qualified for the Ironman World Championships in 2006 with a 28th place finish at Ironman Wisconsin in 2005. Now he enjoys non-competitive skiing, mountain-biking, road cycling and keeping up with his students; however, he is most happy when he is camping with his two awesome children."
